The conference booklet online will only contain authors, titles, and affiliations of submitted abstracts, but no full abstract texts. Ana Ricobaraza y Rubén Hernández-Alcoceba en la Universidad de Navarra ha utilizado un tipo especial de vector llamado adenovirus de alta capacidad. Para superar esta limitación, un estudio dirigido por los Drs. De esta manera se pretende no solamente evitar las crisis epilépticas, sino también mejorar el resto de manifestaciones. El conocimiento de este mecanismo, unido a los avances en la tecnología de transferencia génica, han hecho posible el desarrollo de múltiples estrategias para tratar de abordar la causa de la enfermedad. El síndrome de Dravet está causado en la mayoría de los casos por mutaciones en el gen SCN1A, que es necesario para el correcto funcionamiento de las neuronas inhibitorias en el cerebro.
